Importing from Garmin

Before You Begin: Export a backup of all data and save it in a secure and easily accessible location. For the app, store a copy in your phone's files or email it to yourself for future reference. This ensures you can preserve your data and recover from any unintended changes or errors.

  1. Creating a New List
    1. On My Marks can read a variety of data formats, including GPX and CSV and has backend to support importing and conversion of most file formats (pending). This can be done via a SD card on computer, or via mobile through the On My Marks app using GPX apps such as Garmin’s Active Captain, C-Map, Navionics, iNavX, etc.
  2. Import from Active Captain (App)
    1. Make sure the Active Captain App has synced with the MFD on the boat and has the most current data.
    2. Select Chart view. Navigate to Menu > User Data > Menu > Export to GPX File
    3. Send directly to On My Marks Mobile App for upload or save file for later use. If using desktop version, transfer file (via email or other method) to desktop for upload.
  3. Import to OMM
    1. From the Dashboard, Click the Upload Waypoints icon
    2. Click CHOOSE A FILE, navigate to the saved file to upload.
    3. Determine if you’d like to update a previous list or create a new list and click upload.
