Overview of Common Use

Appearance


The Main Display area of any waypoint list can be shown in either List View, Table View, or Map View as identified by the toggle button at the top right of the screen.

Note: The current selected waypoint(s), using multi select or the draw tool, will be maintained when switching views. In other words, if the draw tool was used in Map View to multi-select waypoints, those waypoints will be selected in Table View.

 

  1. List View

List view provides a detailed view of each waypoint as shown. Waypoints can be adjusted one at a time or the check box can be used to multi-select for an action. (Link to Actions)

        2. Table View

Table view lists waypoint detail in a table format similar to many spreadsheet software’s. Table view introduces the ability to sort based on columns. Waypoints can be adjusted one at a time or the check box can be used to multi-select for an action.  (Link to Actions)

        3. Map View

Displays the selected waypoint list on a map.


  1. Map Options to change Layer (Street, Outdoor, or Satellite)
  2. Zoom In/Out
  3. Draw Tool
    • Select  to manually draw around a group of waypoints to select them for an Action. The Waypoints will change color to show they are selected.
    • NOTE: the selected waypoints will also be selected in Table and List Views if that view is now selected. This is especially useful for using the map to Bulk Edit or share waypoints.
    • To remove the drawing, Select
  4. Selecting an Individual Waypoint
      1. Click  to move this waypoint to another Waypoint List
      2. Click  to edit the waypoint individually.
      3. Click  to Delete the waypoint.



Overview of Common Use


For this tutorial, Table View will be used. The same options are available for the other views.

Note: The default and most common Lat/Long Format is Degree Decimal Minutes (DDM). Some users may prefer to use Degree Minutes Seconds (DMS) or Decimal Degrees (DD). These can be toggled back and forth in Settings (Link) for the best user experience.

  1. Editing a Waypoint
    1. To Edit a Waypoint, Click

    3. Click Save when Finished           


Action Tool


The Action Tool contains many functions. Note that the additional functions will be added when waypoints are selected (item 5 below).

  1. Add New Waypoint
    • Select to manually add a new waypoint
  2. Bulk Edit Mode
    • Unlocks the display to be able to edit multiple items at once

        3. Run Duplicate Finder

        5. When a waypoint is selected, the Action icon provides more options. These options include

  • Moving the selected waypoints to another List
  • Bulk changing the symbols
  • Changing the title case

Filtering

  1. Show Duplicates Only
    • After Running the Duplicate Finder (Link), only Duplicates will be displayed.
  2. Show Deleted Only
    • Deleted Waypoints can be viewed. This feature is useful when running the auto-delete on the duplicate finder to make sure data was not lost.
  3. Filter By Symbol
    • Shows only icons with the identified symbol
  4. Clear Filter
