To run the duplicate finder tool, Select Run Duplicate Finder from the Action Menu
The Duplicate Waypoint Finder pop up contains criteria to define what a duplicate is to the user.
1. Viewing Duplicate Waypoints
A. Viewing Duplicates Table:
- After running the Duplicate Finder, if there are duplicates, select Show Duplicates Table to view.
-Selected waypoints will be deleted.
1. Save and Continue will save your progress and update the view with selected waypoints removed.
2. Save and Close will save your progress and return you to the waypoint list.
-The Duplicate finder can be cleared and rerun at different distances using the Clear Duplicate Finder button.
B. Duplicates will also be marked with a duplicate indicator in the waypoint list for individual review.
-The duplicate indicator will be displayed as a blue circle next to a waypoint, showing there are multiple waypoints within the specified distance.
- Best Practice: Use Filter – View Duplicates Only to show only the waypoints that have been assigned a duplicate
- To view the duplicate waypoints, select a waypoint with a duplicate icon
- At the top of the Edit Waypoint window, Select Manage duplicates to view duplicate waypoints. Select which waypoint(s) you would like to keep. Unselected waypoints will be deleted.
- Click Save Changes or Back
